TMWTA joins forces with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to launch “Thailand Health Excellence 2026,” positioning Thailand as a Global Health & Healing Destination.

The Thai Medical and Health Tourism Association (TMWTA) participated in a significant historical event for Thailand's health tourism industry at the press conference launching the "Thailand Health Excellence 2026: The Next Chapter of Global Healing" project , organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on June 30, 2026, at the Conrad Hotel Bangkok.

This event marks a major offensive in the global health market, with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joining forces with the tourism and medical sectors, as well as domestic and international health partners, to drive Thailand towards becoming a true Global Health & Healing Destination. This is achieved by showcasing the country's strong potential in three key dimensions:

Medical Excellence : Focusing on high-standard medical care and cutting-edge innovations.

Science-Based Wellness : Preventive and rehabilitative healthcare supported by research.

Science-Based Local Wisdom : Integrating traditional knowledge with research and innovation.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of “10 Signature Health Journeys,” meticulously designed medical and wellness travel routes to deliver a comprehensive healing, recovery, and rejuvenation experience. This is part of the global campaign “Healing is the New Luxury,” responding to the rapidly growing global trend of health tourism.
