Presenting the ArokaGO Star Award, 5th Generation, for Thai Medical and Health Tourism
The Thai Medical Tourism Association (TMWTA), in collaboration with the ArokaGO platform, held the 5th ArokaGO Star Award ceremony on November 30, 2024, at the Phra Shiva Meeting Room, Aswin Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
The event began with a lecture titled "THE SIX MUSKETEERS OF LIFESTYLE MEDICINE" by Captain Dr. Yongyuth Mailap, President of the Thai Society of Lifestyle Medicine and Wellbeing (TLWA) and Honorary Advisor to the Thai Medical Tourism Association (TMWTA). The lecture covered topics related to lifestyle medicine and was attended by over 100 hospital and clinic administrators and medical professionals.
Dr. Yongyuth's presentation emphasized the importance of lifestyle medicine through six pillars, covering content related to lifestyle medicine, which focuses on health care through behavioral changes in six key areas that affect health, as follows:
1. Healthful Eating: Promoting a healthy diet, especially plant-based and unprocessed foods, to prevent and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
2. Increase Physical Activity: Encouraging physical activity, such as regular exercise, to improve health and reduce risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.
3. Develop Strategies to Manage Stress: Managing stress through various methods such as meditation, relaxation techniques, and attitude adjustment.
4. Avoid Risky Substances: Avoiding addictive substances or risky behaviors such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
5. Improve Your Sleep: Prioritizing quality sleep, such as adjusting sleep schedules and reducing sleep disruptors.
6. Form & Maintain Relationships: Building and maintaining positive relationships with family, friends, and society to enhance mental health and well-being.
Following that, Dr. Prapha Wongpaet, President of the Thai Medical and Health Tourism Association (TMWTA) and chair of the awards ceremony, presented the ArokaGO Star Award to a total of 14 establishments providing medical, public health, and healthcare services (hospitals and clinics), namely:

The awards were judged based on factors such as service quality, customer experience, and sustainable business processes. Special guests Jirayu Chabbang and Phoraphat Neelaphat, former news anchors from MCOT, announced the names of the healthcare facilities and businesses that received the ArokaGO Star awards. The atmosphere at the event was filled with people congratulating the award-winning organizations.
